Decorative concrete has been around for about fifty years, it started in the late fifty’s as a novelty product and grew steadily until the mid seventy’s when decorative concrete experienced a huge growth spurt as more contractors and designers became aware of its benefits, lower costs and beautiful Impressions in concrete.

Decorative concrete caused a major stir when it was introduced at the World of Concrete in the seventy’s and since 1978 Decorative Concrete has been one of the shows major attractions in Las Vegas.

Decorative concrete consists in adding texture and color to your concrete to make it look like stone, brick, slate, cobblestone, etc.

The installation consists of pressing molds into the concrete while it is still wet. Color is achieved by using integral color, powder or liquid into the cement truck.

Then we broadcast a powder release in an addition to the integral color on the surface of the colored concrete, before we start stamping the concrete with the molds, which provides the different shades of color in the concrete while allowing the stamps to not stick to the concretes surface and leaving undesirable scratch marks on the surface of the concrete

The next day we come back to the job site to pressure wash the release off the stamped concrete surface. Then we saw cut expansion joints with a diamond blade saw, which any professional contractor should do to prevent the concrete from cracking while providing a professional install.

The final stage is to apply 2 coats of decorative concrete sealer, with gator grip added into the sealer. Gator grip is shark skin grinned up into tiny particles, sold by professional manufacturers around the world.

It provides a non slip resistance to the stamped concrete surface. We always add double the dosage on pool decks, were it provides sufficient non slip resistance.

Different plant species can thrive in their native habitats, free from pests, thanks to landscaping. They are given the right quantity of sunlight, good soil, and water to grow and develop. Additionally, it aids in preserving medicinal plant species that are under danger of extinction.

A plain grassy field is cooler than bare earth, asphalt, or cement. You can actually reduce the amount of air conditioning you require because grass radiates cooler temperatures everywhere around your home or place of business. Wouldn’t it be good to have some additional cash to spend this summer doing something enjoyable with your family?

Additionally, did you know that big trees on the building’s south and west sides can offer shade during the hottest periods of day and reduce the temperature in your attic by as much as 40 degrees? They have the ability to lessen window glare as well.

How many of you have ever tried to walk through the city on a warm summer day? In the hottest part of the day, strolling on a street or through a parking lot feels like walking on scorching coals.

You may feel excruciatingly hot due to the heat rising from the earth. Guess what, though? Increased grass and tree planting in certain places can be beneficial. Urban areas’ average temperatures are lowered by the cooling of grass and shady trees, making it more enjoyable to be outside.

Physical And Mental Advantages

The advantages of interacting with flowers, trees, and grass for humans have also been extensively researched and recorded. According to research, engaging with the environment or even just seeing it from a window can help people relax and recuperate.

After being outside, children with ADHD appear to have greater focus (Harvard Health Publications). When functioning in environments containing plants, employees are more productive and their cognitive function is enhanced.

What people instinctively feel about plants and green spaces in their lives is that the connection makes their lives easier, and they want to make an effort to integrate it into their lives. This is perhaps more significant than what science tells us.

According to data from the 2012 Husqvarna Global Garden Report, “63% of respondents stated being willing to pay more for a house or an apartment if it was located in an area with good green areas, compared with, for example, 34% willing to pay more for a area with good shoppers and 33% for good cultural venues.”
